Unfortunately, the shorters will continue to short until something happens - I.e. until news comes out (whether known by the broader market or not) or ARU come out with a materially positive announcement. Watching the SP over the short term until these things happen will lead to frustration and impatience.
Whilst it's not ideal, us retail holders will need to wait it out. Hope what's going on behind the scenes with key stakeholders and management comes to fruition.
I'm not experienced enough to say that the shorters will run for the hills and close out their positions upon the release of materially positive news. One would hope so. But watching the SP in the short term will just lead to more frustration and angst.
