So Geopolitics aside China are happy to increase the supply of Rare Earths to the world. They can see the writing on the wall with the IRA and equivalent EU act to ensure supply of critical minerals. It'll be interrsting to see if non Chinese EV manufacture will take ESG into consideration above price when selecting supply chains with best practice mining. Either way RE demand should be the next class of commodities to see a huge increase in production to meet the growing demand. I will post a link soon to the WA conference on battery minerals where the minister responsible Bill Johnston was touting the top 3 WA next-in-line refiners/producers in order of relevance: Lynas, Iluka (a mineral sands company who employed some bloke smart enough to stockpile the rare earth source Monzanite) & Hastings. Not that competition is all that relevant with the explosion in demand going to be so huge, but slot ARU at least #3 nationally. Fingers in so many pies Twiggy through his private company Wyloo has sunk HAS's prospects with their holding of a BBSW +9% convertible note to find their multi million doar stake in Canadian RE refiner Neo. That shorting chart above speaks a thousand words for the likely trajectory of this company.
