Fellas, it's time you planted your feet firmly on the ground and examined just what The Australian Institute is alluding to.
Forget about world supply, feeding the world, security of supply, Adblue and all the other BS being used to promote this stock. All red herrings IMO.
The Institute suggests that Australia is awash with cheap naturel gas. A much more environmentally friendly gas than syngas which is comparatively overloaded with carbon, thus requiring more carbon mitigation.
And I put it to you that the reason that natural gas is not being exploited for urea production is that gas prices are currently high enough to suggest the making fertiliser adds no value to the process, otherwise IPL would be roaring ahead.
Ignoring environmental and cultural issue, why on earth would a government promote such a process with appears to offer no tangible benefits, long or short term, particularly when Australia is awash with natural gas.
All IMO of course.
