Yes, but to be fair without being alarmist, it’s A stable large cap company that actually has profits and pays a divvy. Whilst the SP of AMC may not shoot the lights out, at least it’s going to BE there at the end of the day ! It’s hardly likely to get smaller in size and has pricing power. And if our friend has bought into AMC for the first time, his potential capital losses are not likely to be great and turn him off equities for keeps, and it depends on other income as to whether it matters to our friend if the divvies are franked or not !
Let’s be charitable and take a glass half full approach rather than fear mongering…. Shall we ?
