Breaking News: Eramet SA Acquires Tama Atacama Brine Purchase
    1

Eramet SA Invests US Million in the Purchase of

5 Brine Properties Across 5 Salars in the Andes

The French group Eramet SA has secured a private tender for the acquisition of 7 early-stage Chilean lithium brine properties, with an investment of US Million. This move strategically positions the company for expansion in the highly coveted Lithium Triangle of South America.

Spanning sizes from approximately 100Ha to 16,000Ha, the properties cumulatively cover about 40,000Ha. They are predominantly located at altitudes of around 3,500-4,000 meters and demonstrate lithium grades varying from 220 mg/l Li to 1,080 mg/l Li, according to historical data.

    Key Impact:

Why Eramet SA's $95M Chilean Lithium Investment Matters for PAM Shareholders

With the recent acquisition of Lithium Power International Limited (LPI) and its Maricunga-based lithium brine project by Chilean-based Codelco for A$385m, coupled with Eramet SA's purchase of 7 early-stage lithium brine properties (totaling approximately 40,000Ha) for US$95m (around A$150m), the growing confidence in Chilean lithium signals positive news for PAM's shareholders and aligns well with PAM's strategy.

About PAM's Tama Atacama Lithium Project

The Tama Atacama Lithium Project distinguishes itself as one of South America's largest and most strategically positioned Li brine projects. Key features include its exceptionally high Li assays from surface sampling, with values reaching up to 2,200 ppm Li. Its location, at an altitude of 800-1,100m, marks it as one of the lowest-lying Li brine projects globally. The project's setting in a hyper-arid environment contributes to very high evaporation rates, enhancing its operational efficiency.

It is well-supported with all necessary transport and energy infrastructure. Furthermore, its proximity to significant logistical advantages is notable; it is situated 40-60km from the coast and only 75km from Iquique, a well-equipped coastal city with a population of 200,000, a deep water bulk and container port, and regular flights to Santiago.
