I think BOQ had flagged challenges with the first half results previously with margin squeeze, etc so I don't think there is nothing new here. For me the question is whether the results are as bad as some expected or even worse. This comes before a stated expectation around uptick in profitability as the cycle improves. Selling non core businesses is not a bad thing and it's part of the streamlining approach. also good that they are not selling a lot of mortgages presently given the much lower margins on offer - this makes more sense in how a book should be managed around quality rather than quantity. IMO.
