Luni Water
Luni will be supplied with water by pipeline from a bore field. This map shows the most productive aquifers are to the west of Luni. AMN's proposed borefield, in the vicinity to the south, has a planned capacity of 3.5 GL/a. In Nov 2022, Arafura/Nolans reported a maximum demand of 4.8 GL/a. which was considered significant enough to note it does not impact on the design of the borefields - so 4.8 GL/a could be an example of high Nolans design demand. My guess is that WA1 will need significantly less pipeline water than Nolans, perhaps quite a lot less if for instance anything downstream of concentrate production is located elsewhere. Finding sufficient water should be a significant derisking event.
