I see where the misunderstanding has happened. Our multi-coloured illiterate friend holds SUM, you see, which is why he is unfamiliar with anything to do with conventional mining. You may not be aware, but SUM has 40% grade niobium just lying around at ground level, so they don't have to worry about complicated things like overburden. The only expense for their mining operation will be the purchase of quite a few wheelbarrows. Locals will then be trained up to fill the barrows with dark-coloured rock chips which are high-grade niobium, and deposit these in a truck. Of course, since they will be paid by the barrow load it is inevitable that some may try to hide a few ordinary rocks in there too, but this should only drop the overall grade by a few percent. Each weekend the truck will be driven from one side of Brazil to the other so that the high grade niobium can be offloaded at CBMM for processing, and giving sufficient time for the truck to return to site ready for first rock-picking shift on the Monday.
