I did wonder about that - I'm 3 years out from retirement at 65. I got the impression that stocks purchased pre-pension mode and sold after you go into pension mode would still be taxed? Anything bought and sold while in pension mode would not. Not sure about this, but the temptation with WA1 is to hold for another 3 years until retirement.
