In what is a a self-diagnosed psychological bias (and flaw) I can't help buying some shares today at circa $16. There is some logic to it however; had I been offered shares at $17 in the recent CR I admit I would have been a buyer. If then, why not now at a discount?
My preference is to buy on valuation grounds, not relative discounts but I freely admit that valuation is impossible at this juncture. One has to consider all risks, upside and down, and the only way you can make a case at any point in time is to determine whether that risk is asymmetric- and have the courage to stay the journey.
Anyway does every decision have to be based on fundamentals, surely a little for the speculative account?
