Gold is useful for electronics, medicine, money, jewellery and alloys - Ti3Au is currently the hardest alloy we know of.
Niobium is used in high stress steel alloys, superconducting metals and electronics.
I had to laugh before at the notion of a “meme” metal.
Okay maybe lanthanum, it gets cucked in flame AAS.
Gold being a commodity safe harbour is a tell like most others dropping. The macro environment is not good in the US. People have greater concerns than their investments being repriced - like crippling mortgages or being laid off.
