If you are trading volatility (being delta hedged) you don’t care what the price is or if the stock goes up 8.81% in a day.
All that you care for is volatility at all, in particular, intra day volatility.
If you are just making delta punts, bemoaning an upward price movement is “funny”, trading as a short without covered positions sounds like hell.

As we have observed today, as noted in the commentary to my copy of The Intelligent Investor - Mr Market is many things.
He has no shame, memory, is a co-dependent schizoid manic depressive and is also an eternal optimist and an unstable hypochondriac.
