I want to take you all back to 2022 when the former government in Brazil pitched niobium batteries to Elon Musk (who said then niobium weren’t on his radar).
There was also talk of the government acquiring CBMM at the time. Fast forward to 2024 and Lula’s now President and he’s at war with Musk, over free speech and X. I’ve been following this closely wondering if there’s more to the story given the recent history. Is niobium, and specifically China (who are Brazil’s major trading partner), playing a role in Brazil’s sudden hostility towards Musk?
Musk is promising truth dumps on X in relation to Brazilian politics, so it will be very interesting to see what comes out of it
