That’s the point. We don’t have to help them. They will have to make a deal with us that will make us all very happy.
They will mine their ore and deliver to our doorstep at their own costs. Our cuts of their profits will be substantial, or else there is no deal.
We don’t need them. But extra icing on the cake, not a bad thing either.
