Probably the same significance as so called whale songlines that flowed along the coast further out than the natives could even paddle a canoe... Significance cant be erased with money else its just a cash grab.

As for the night parrot, GPT had this RE the sighting which on top of the recording I read about, was an actually sighting, but in Queensland not WA. The government cannot simply lock up every area where it looks similar to the habitat of endangered species or made up song lines by those who's closest tie to the land was a great, great, great great, grandparent.

"The night parrot was rediscovered in 1990 by ornithologist John Young in western Queensland, Australia. This discovery occurred after decades of presumed extinction, with the last confirmed sightings dating back to the early 20th century.

Young's sighting was significant because it demonstrated that the night parrot still existed in the wild. He observed the bird in a remote area known as the Channel Country. Since that time, there have been occasional reports of sightings, but the night parrot remains elusive and difficult to study.

In 2013, researchers captured and GPS-tracked a night parrot, marking a major breakthrough in understanding its habitat and behavior. Conservation efforts have since intensified to protect its remaining populations and habitats. However, the bird continues to be classified as critically endangered due to habitat loss and other threats."
