I don’t know much about market structure and manipulation on ASX, other than that the exchange doesn’t have the best reputation, but I doubt institutions would wash trade as brazenly as that. Could well be a participant sufficiently incentivized in lowering the price and just selling aggressively on market though (and possibly buying back with more passive trades?). Just speculating.
