Herbert Hoover ran the Sons of Gwalia Mine in the Shire of Leonora Kevin103.
Herbert put on a fake beard for his interview and landed the job as Mine Manager at the age of 23.
Herbert left when he was 24 after 18 months in Australia he was promoted. Made a hell of an impression at such a young age.
Herbert Hoover built Hoover House on the edge of the Gwalia Pit while he was here. The Gwalia mine has been in service over a long period of time. It is highly likely that Luni will be around for a very long time also.
