    Also agree on the rock chip stuff. In fact when you are collecting rock chips you are specifically trying to identify highly gossanous or sheared outcrop, i.e stuff that looks "juicy". There is simply no point trying to identify baron material in selected outcrops.

    For this reason rock chip sampling is not a statistical exercise in the way that grid-based soil geochemistry or top of saprolite sampling is. Because of the targeted nature rock chips tell you nothing about mineralisation scale or grade. A good field geologist would be able to identify an altered sample from almost any bit of outcrop and find something anomalous, its just a matter then of whether the company chooses to downplay expectations or spin it. Always be suspicious of companies which make a lot of noise about rock chips and try and imply anything about grade.

    And for the trifecta also agree on the importance of the supergene blanket. The economics of this zone will drive development. Without this zone rock hardness, depth and probably grade will make what is below much more marginal. Any primary zone mineralisation will be enhanced with the mining of the soft overburden.
