i was one of those people i suspect! i hated regal for many years as they are absolutely brutal on companies where they lose confidence in them. They are prepared to destroy a share price entirely to get the f out if they so desire. And i had been on the receiving end of that brutality - which made me angry at the time. But my hatred has actually become a massive reason I hold. In hindsight, all of those companies I held that they brutalised, they were right on. In most cases they exited at prices I was disgusted with at the time but are way more than they are priced at now! They also rarely buy massive stakes of illiquid companies because it stops them being able to dump hard if they choose to exit. The fact they continue to scoop up constantly at higher and higher prices is a big tick. That says to me they are extremely bullish on this and want/expect a takeover exit. Its the only way they can exit here.

And perversely... any drops in the sp do not make me nervous BECAUSE regal hold so many and have a TO exit plan. It means they will not let this fall to undervalued prices for long as they will want it trading high to make sure no cheap TOs emerge.

So in summary, I love regal.
