My take,

Lynas and Illuka are in trouble, they need the goverrment support and funding to be able to keep up with the chinese in the rare earth space. Brazils Rare earth clays will come online in the future and where will that leave Illuka. If it wasnt for the DOD and US where would Lynas be?

Paul was given a good intro and Amanda couldnt help herself but to interupt with her comment about niobium, I wish Paul asked " why havent you mined it yet?" cos you cant, the mets are all a mess and the thorium content is high.

It did appear to me that some outside influence orchestrated Paul to being on the Panel and getting face time with critical minerals minister.

The grades at Luni are world class and Luni can become the worlds lowest cost producer of Niobium so there is no threat there. Yes Luni is hindered by its remoteness but we have put man on the moon.

I was annoyed about that first question from the audience who chewed up 5 minutes of time about his backstory.
