Generally agree with this, although I would note that lots of lifeforms gained market share in the Cambrian explosion, and something similar may happen to a degree here - it's not something I've looked into in great deal, but e.g. the LTO battery chemistry, which Toshiba seems to be targeting with its Niobium Titanium Oxide (NTO) research, with fast charging but low voltage and low energy density, seems to have carved out a meaningful niche for itself.
Some other questions for you @2ic, if you're willing: do you have a fair present value estimate for Luni? To refactor this: if a ready-made Araxa/CBMM equivalent, plants, industry knowledge and rolodex, infrastructure, port access and all, were discovered in Australia tomorrow, what would you value it at? And what discount factor do you place relative to that valuation on Luni in its current state?
