My wild punt based no specific information?:
Assuming the mre is even ready, I think they'll watch the market and if it continues to rise over the next few days they'll hold off on releasing it for a bit. Then when the rises slow down - POW! - they'll hit the market with it.
Or any of the other options you suggested.
