If you want to pay more tax this year for example by selling WA1 there is no need to lose the shares as all you need to do is
1. Sell the shares .....this triggers the CGT event
2,Buy same quantity of shares back 30 seconds later hopefully at same price
Result you have the desired tax outcome and still retain the same amount of WA1 with the price paid for the shares being the
the new cost base for this parcel for future CGT
