while it is quiet... a little help please

While it is a bit quiet, anyone care to throw a dog a bone?

I am entered in the CNBC 'trading matters' comp. First prize is a $100k Aston Martin, and there are some cash prizes as well.

If you are not familiar with the comp, basically we get a virtual $100k to invest in ASX top 300 stocks.

I am currently coming about 120th of over 10,000. I just picked some standard blue chips, and have about 50% cash.

Are an of you guys as good at picking hard runners in the top 300 as you are at the spec end of town? My only chance of victory is landing a big one. Not going to do it with the standard blue chips. The comp goes for another 9 trading weeks.

So does anyone know of any top 300 companies I might look at?

You don't have to worry about me losing money, as it is only a free comp. So be as daring and liberal with any tips you might have! I wont bite the hand that fed me : )
