How does dredging up decades old, out of date and clearly biased articles help ECT?
"it generates half of the electricity in the United States and will likely continue to do so as long as it's cheap and plentiful"
A quick check of the EIA website that the artcle quotes shows that coal generation is down to 19.5% of the US total.
But don't let facts get in the way of a good ramp!
