Yes but the difference between your example of PLS in 2019 and SYR is night and day.
PLS and lithium prices were in the gutter.
Then suddenly, EV's started to boom. The demand for lithium was extraordinary causing a lithium defeceit on the supply side.
Thats what caused the boom in PLS.
With SYR on the other hand, the EV boom already occurred. There is no extraordinary demand for graphite. There is no defeceit for graphite
Infact, there is a cheaper and better synthetic graphite flooding the market.
There is no catalyst for SYR to do what PLS did.
SYR are not profitable and can't sustain this for much longer
Think of nickel. It doesn't matter what government policies there are. Indonesian nickel has destroyed local nickel.
