The Productivity Commission last year warned against Labor's plans for a local battery-making industry. Last month the Commission's new Chair, Danielle Wood, reiterated free markets should be the driver of investment priorities. "That's going to tend to be the most efficient way to get there," she told an Australian Financial Review Business Summit.
