Chinese EV’s are only cheap because the Chinese government subsidises pretty much every stage of their production.
It is anti competitive - solely with the aim of establishing market dominance. The companies would likely not be able to survive if it wasn’t for the Chinese Government.
So - in order to level the playing field there are a number of options and levers the US Govt can pull - the main take away is pretty much all of them will ultimately benefit Syrah (with a substantial amount of shares that’s my main concern - not the US consumer).
