Trump in his acceptance as delegate speech said on day one they are “going to drill baby drill.” People forget also that EVs loose their charge at an extreme rate in extreme cold which is half of the US during winter so very few folks in the northern states have much interest in buying an EV. But his newest bestest and biggest financial supporter by the widest margin is Elon Musk. Trump will certainly support the EV industry but it will not be to the same level generically as Biden. But they will certainly see doing what is necessary to rebuild industry and at least become peer competitors with China as important. Lots is conflicting positions. It’s going to be a wild ride and you would have to be a magician at this point to see how things will go. But I am very confident a trade war will have to include graphite. SYR are perfectly placed if and when that happens.
