Only chance the next 6 to 9onths to slow case burn from Balama is to produce larger flake size from mine which sells for > US$1,000 a tonne. And it will ha d to be 20% to 25%. Verner has stated this could be done previously but he never delivered. Can he do so this time? His previous form suggests he can't. He is not a chemical engineer or a geologist. Again raises doubt as to whether he is the right man for the job.
Verner has had too long to deliver. He can't just blame China. CEOs have to be fired when the fail to deliver against targets.
By year end 2024 Australian Super has to remove him. He has had more time (and enough chances) than most deserve at the top.
