They've been an independent country for over 50 years, Balama in full prodcution and hiring locals will only benefit the economy. Big international investors/partners need to step up and make full production viable. But there are also a number of other much larger oil and gas projects in the works, the bottom line is everyday people of mozambique must see improvements to society as a result.
They're not against international investment. The population as a whole need to see some long term benefits, a large part of that sits with the ruling party.
