Yep read the article before i posted. You're the one that included that specific comment by Tesla referting to 'no single manufacturer', their words not mine! But I do agree that they won't limit themselves to one supplier.
Reckon that journo is using graphite as a basket term and actually means AAM. Note Tesla refers to 'manufacturer', not miner (natural graphite). Before you say it could be a synthetic 'manufacturer' look at the reality - Tesla doesn't produce AAM so graphite as a stands alone product isn't relevant to that comment.
Even if Balama was producing at full capacity it wouldn't make a difference to Tesla because it hasn't been manufactured into AAM.
