Happy to be corrected ,and no doubt this post is quite flawed , but is this simplistic analysis way off the mark ???? :
Probably just a repeat of what has been repeatedly said here , and likely posted in a sense of self frustration of seeing what was/is a TIER ONE mineral world class asset ( and not forgetting vanadium by product ) , just continue to remain unwanted in the market !
: Balama supply chain of graphite to Vidalia ,in the necessary quantities , is presently "insecure " because of the either the wider political issues , or local disputes .
: China has destroyed the natural graphite competitive price in any event , making Syrah's ability to sell its natural graphite anywhere else ( apart from the dispute problems ) presently uncompetitive and uneconomic
: Vidalia remains in "ramp up "mode , but testing only its Balama natural graphite , with the Plant testing that source only , and being "tweaked "to both cater for the Balama graphite , and testing that for Tesla's requirements . There was another unnamed Offtaker /Offtakers , that had put off potential offtakes until after the Election .
: Vidalia ..at 45k full capacity output , can only support a limited percentage of the spherical graphite required . So OFFTAKES and funding commitments are essential to allow the next expansion step . Until "production qualification "is validated , offtakes and private enterprise funding remains in limbo ??
Whilst there is little doubt the Syrah , behind the scenes , are working on all these political . logistical and economic fronts to solve each and all these puzzles , the share market dominated by the shorts understand the dilemma , and play this ad nauseum !
Perhaps it would be helpful , in Mr. Verners' Quarterly Executive Summary , if he could address this in somewhat a similar format ..ie
#here's the problem ,
# here's the current status
# this is what we are working on , to resolve current hurdles
# time frames ....of course determined by outcomes of above
Reporting in this manner , subject of course to ASIC/ASX regulations .
