Ok so we're pretty confident that v1 of the 4680 was 100% synthetic. The real question is what are they doing with our graphite? I heard rumours there might be some natural graphite in v2 (current). But why go to the trouble dealing with the engineering challenge of different cohesion between the two. Given the engineering challenge surely it can't just be for diversity. And Tesla has been working with synthetic suppliers to reduce cost and slash CO2 emissions. Why not just focus on superior quality (synthetic)?
