China Graphite Group Limited
This Chinese graphite company just came out with their annual report for 12 months to 31st December 2023

The chairman's address is always informative as to what's happening in the industry in China and on pages 16 and 17 detail the prices being obtained for flake graphite and USPG. Even though they produce on average lower grade product than Syrah that attract substantially lower prices they can still manage a 36% gross profit. It really is a completely different world and gives some insight into why it is so hard to compete. If those prices continue it looks rather grim for any ex China company with shipping costs to consider.
Notably no mention is made of the effects of the new export licensing regime, I assume because this company does not export any of their product.
