Plus massive actual downstream expertise. It doesn’t matter if the Chinese do it a bit better as we know Chinese lithium will be cut out of IRA subsidies.
The market gets blinded by the huge cash balance and solid conservative management of PLS. I also had a bigger holding of PLS than AKE, moved it all into AKE now. I predict PLS will struggle to go downstream outside of POSCO JV.
Time will tell, but we may well be in a position to buy them or Patriot in 2028.
Regardless, it’s extremely unlikely that our expansions will stop here. I think this is just part 2 of the beginning.
