From my own perspective, plus looking at the data, in my opinion, the build-up in inventory for the Model Y in the USA is a juniper problem. People (including myself) have seen what an improvement the Highland has been for the Model 3, and those in the know are now waiting. The longer Tesla delays the upgrade, the harder it is going to get for them. Most influences are telling people to wait. Luckily for them, they have at least started ramping up production of the cybertruck. That needs to ramp up faster to compensate. When Juniper is released, demand will return to normal for the Model Y, and the Model 2 will have a big impact, too. In reality, Tesla production has grown to a size where it needs to start behaving differently. It needs to conform to year models, including discounting for example, 23 plated vehicles in 24. In the new model to always have a slightly better tweak here and there (something that they now just do adhoc).

Tesla has been a major demand driver for lithium. Them growing fast is a number feed into lots of analysts forecasts. Most analysts forecasts were not met, this means they will be cutting their demand numbers.

It is great to see China numbers for EV's high. We just need the rest of the world to perform as well. I look forward to the release of the global March sales numbers. It will tell us a lot.
