From what I read the tariff expectation was slightly lower or similar to the outcome. I can see how these tariffs might be a positive development for the long term lithium prices, but in short to medium, can't see an upside if people can't afford EU/US EVs and Chinese ones will be priced that much higher. I would love to hear a brighter take?
News can always get worse.
I don't really understand why people are selling so ferociously either. Personally, I was just happy that I couldn't transfer funds quick enough to buy on the market in Germany today and it sank another 3% in the afternoon. I just need it to stay where it is tomorrow or sink lower. Got to keep moving my average down.
