I don’t think anyone has a clue or are necessarily honest about what is, or what they think is going on, especially because the Chinese supply from Africa is so opaque. What is probable though with this supply is that they are mining a tiny percentage of lithium and basically shipping tons of rock to China at greater than market expense (after processing), just to secure supply and reserve their own resources for deepening trade/actual war.
My wager is that when this rebounds it rebounds hard. Probably not as hard as last time but I’m betting it will easily top 20k/t in next 2 years.
