I think for stationary storage it will eventually all come down to potential fire risk. My next point is super obvious, but I think it's often overlooked; energy density isn't actually irrelevant for stationary storage. Space is at a premium in cities and a smaller footprint from a stationary storage solution using lithium over sodium can be valuable, and less weight for the batteries will open up more options for installation within buildings.
