A large part of the sp issue is the current malais in EVs in the United States. The first-adopters have had their fill, and the market is not willing to accommodate mandates:
Serious production curtailment is on the cards, both in the USA and Europe.
Lithium demand will dry up absent a focussed growth in household and apartment battery banks, to take advantage of solar energy production.
Reality is a harsh master...
