I'm beginning to think the media beat-up on EVs (High cost, range anxiety, immature charging infrastructure, high repair costs, and the rare EV on flames) has affected investor sentiment. Whether this translates into sustained declines in demand are yet to be seen, but definitely the credit crunch due to high interest rates will dampen overall automotive sales including EV. Basically, a bunch of negative story & sentiment at the moment.
But, I hope logic prevails. Governments and auto manufacturers all going in the EV direction, with an inevitable decline in ICE vehicle production and therefore sales. Can't imagine this downturn in lithium going on for too long - just needs a hit of lower interest rates to revive the market.
