The new Argentine government has made some decisions that are putting up prices in the short term (eg 80% devaluation of the official exchange rate) with the intention of bringing down inflation in the medium term. It’s an experiment for sure. But after years of high inflation, something had to be done differently. Let’s hope for the people of Argentina it works.
