Unfortunately most business moves very slow - even/especially the giants. Most business is unlike Tesla who are continually implementing changes and designing new items to assist in the manufacturing process on a monthly basis. Boeing probably have 20 committees and 5 political gangs to get through before they make a change and test and select a new provider of parts.
