I'm certainly not condoning the posts of others (which I think is all too personal and vindictive) but I am genuinely curious on why you feel it is beneficial to pay more for converting options rather than buying much cheaper straight shares.
The reason I ask is that I am in the same boat and can see no reason to do so. I would be better off just buying on market and letting options expire and take a capital loss. That is why I have asked.
The only reason I can think of for someone exercising at a higher rate would be if for any reason that they are legally not able to purchase on market due to insider knowledge.
