    i tried to explain you several months ago in a German Forum the certificate Trading.

    as an Resident from Germany you pay actually following CO2 tax:
    45€ /ton Co2. = 0,127 € each Liter petrol

    changes on 1.1.2027 = free Emission Trading on fuels
    forecast 300€ /Ton CO2 = 0,847€ (excl. VAT) / each Liter petrol

    the pricing of the CO2 certificates will rise year by year because the quantity of the certificate decreases.

    This system was based on the Paris Agreement and was implemented in the EU's Green Deal years ago.

    maybe you understand it today...

    and before you writing: "but its not reaching 3€". - you can additionally add VAT and Energy Tax by yourself
