I think a lot of the hate on EUR is because of the current macro environment. Most lithium producers are facing a tough time with their SP and a lot of lithium producers have scaled back or stopped production. It is a gamble to continue as planned but EUR does not have much choice with Wolfsberg since there are obligations that need to be met.
The supply/demand can quickly swing with any commodity but one thing is quite certain, EV's will continue to take over the market, AI robot mass production, in the future, will also see an increase in battery demand. We also have not yet realised an ever increasing requirement for the replacement of batteries in current older EV models. As models age 10+ years battery replacements will also start to impact battery and lithium supply. Finally there is no clear alternative for battery metal other than lithium. You could argue there are cheaper alternatives, and there are, however they are heavier and hold a lot less charge. Alternative battery supply is being developed in regard to semi-solid state batteries that have higher energy density however these are also lithium based.
As a result of the current market, EUR has not sat on their hands. Instead they diversified into rare earth elements. Personally, I like this pivot and the source they are securing in Greenland is one which is highly fought for. I look forward to seeing more drill results from this resource. This opportunity to focus on Greenland concurrently just adds eggs to the basket and with Trump in power may be quite lucrative as they fight for Greenland resources.
In the mean time I believe it is a gamble to continue as planned at Wolfsberg, but one of necessity. IMHO the lithium price has stabilised quite low and will rebound to more healthy prices once we see the impact of supply reduction, the increase in demand from increased EV sales and the circular realisation that replacement battery demand will increase over time. AI mass production may still be a fair way off but it will also be another catalyst for lithium demand.
I think the hate is focused at EUR but I question that if the sector was acting differently would our opinions not be more positive?
P.S. In regard to people like CoinTom, I do not understand the need for someone to post, only in one companies threads, constant negative sentiment, even if they were once a holder. I question, is this the only share he has ever held? If so does he now hold no other shares? I don't want to hear a pessimists narrow viewpoint on a singular stock. I prefer people who are realists.
