The question is Will they keep it (divide the territory along the front line) or will they have to concede the entire oblast? There will be peace soon. It seems that without support, Ukraine will have to give up territory for peace. Russia controls a major part of the Donbas region. Are they going to claim the entire oblast or just retain the area that they hold at the time of peace?
Peace in any form will come with peace keepers to ensure the peace.
Once peace is installed (that is hostilities are ended and peace is ensured), the rebuilding has to begin in earnest. This includes mining as a source of national income.
The other question is what would Ukraine gain if all the money flowed abroad (British Virgin Islands) .... how will Ukraine then pay off its massive debts?
This is utter crap. Only the profits flow out of the country. There will be investment into the country. There will be equipment brought into the country that will never leave.
There will be infrastructure invested into the country. There will be employment during the planning, permitting, construction and extraction periods. This will be local employment and subsequent taxes on wages. For every direct employee, there will be a indirect flow on effect to between 7 and 20 other locals. There will be power and water used and paid for. Then there will be royalties, taxes and other government fees.
Then there is the education training and knowledge passed on and subsequent security of life and a future for this generation and the next.
At the end of the day far more will stay in country than will ever leave.
EUR will make a profit, either by developing the mines, or value adding and selling the asset to a miner or selling it to CRML. But the profit will be commensurate with the risks taken.
The lithium prices are depressed. There are controlled by China. The West has woken up to this being a very bad scenario and now want local product and therefore weaning itself off Chinese production. The lithium prices are coming back.
Investors have not even been found for the secure Austrian lithium project, although according to management, they have been queuing up. I have said this before and you have chosen to ignore and continue with your script. Wolfsburg is negotiating the quagmire of redtape getting the permits to begin mining. This has to be done before finance can be finalized. This is proving to be a long drawn out experience. But CRML is not walking away and no matter how much people beat their gums, the process is not going any faster.
