Greenland has unimaginable strategic value. The shipping lanes need to be controlled by America now that the ice is melting and allows a shipping lane. For that reason alone US wants Greenland. Is the RE rhetoric just added garnish? Maybe. Could be extra weight, who knows?

The thing that seals the deal for me personally is that Trump’s whole strategy relies ultimately on growth. His tariffs are designed to bring companies back to the US which creates jobs …. it seems to be working.

Greenland with a population of only 57,000 needs people in order to grow and US needs investments to grow. Tan breezy is a no brainer as gravy on the shipping sauce.

Also heavy US investments in Greenland, over time, could make Trump’s plan easier as a plan b?
