I am aware that Austria is a beautiful place. I have been there twice and would go back. There are other places in the world that are beautiful and I would never go back. I do value my life.
The mine may never get mined. That will not be the fault of EUR or CRML. Nor will it be a lack of trying. It will be the fault of the citizens of Austria. An economic case can be presented and money will be raised if it is allowed to be mined. Whether it gets mined by EUR, CRML or most likely by another miner with greater experience in mining is irrelevant. The bottleneck is the people of Austria and probably a minority at that. Remove all the hurdles and the mine will be mined. There is demand for minerals to be mined in the EU even at a premium.
I agree that Austria has mined and have done so for centuries. Proof that mining can work in Austria. The comment was that no new mine has been permitted in the last 40 years. That is shameful. Austria has used the products of mining in that forty years. They have just been getting it from somewhere else. The government has seen that this is an error and is trying to correct the error. And yet the citizens of Austria and most likely only a minority are saying "no we are happy with someone else getting their hands dirty somewhere else". I do not advocate a dirty mine. I believe that the the people of Austria can demand and get a clean mine and clean logistics.
This not only gives them control of the emissions and pollution that their demand on resources cause, it also brings rewards back to Austria. I can rattle off at least 20 benefits with employment and income topping the list.
Only half of your workforce is suited to white collar business and service and hospitality together with tourism. The other half of your workforce need to get down and dirty. These are your sons and daughters. And there is only jobs for half your blue collar workers. If you don't give the other half work, then crime will. Don't say there is work in farming. There is no future there unless they can get their own land. The only chance of owning land is to jump the boss's daughter before she goes to finishing school and learns to jump a richer fool. OOps she will be a lady then and it is called wooing. Same, same but totally different, it has been touched with education.
